I have proof that I am not the only person with this issue, as per the forums and many articles on the web. The truck shakes violently, and just is plain annoying. My Dodge , and my Chevy that I owned in the past did not bounce like this, same bed length, etc. The dealer says they get allot of complaints, but there is no solution coming down the food chain. My wife hates the ride and it gets my kids sick on a long drive. You have got to come up with a solution. I paid 26K for this truck, I would expect a better quality truck from Toyota.
Maby a solution would be for Toyota to pay to have the Willybar put in my truck , which adds weight to the back of the truck to keep the ride steady. Is Toyota still looking into this, or are the customers that bought 07,08,& 09 Tundra's out of luck ? To clear it up mine is a 2007 Toyota Tundra SR5 Double Cab with the 6.5" bed. My slip yoke was leaking.It was leaking from the very center of it..The more fluid lost the worst it got.. My truck had to be in the dealer twice ! First they replaced the "trail shaft". Then a seal was replaced the second go around that they said it was OK in the first place. Only going back to to them a third time and telling them about a TSB that I know of they finaly repalced everything from trans to dif... Complaint's: After having the truck about 9 months it started to klunk from 1st to 2nd gears (they changed the Drive shaft which I later found it to be recalled). Today I dropped it at service for a brake problem. When I apply my brakes doing highway miliage and apply the brakes I get a shaking/shuttering of the pedal & steering wheel, I can hardly wait to hear what the problem is this time. I reaad couple of other reviews online and noticed other people have the same complaint.
Other than those 2 problems I Love the truck and would definitly recommend it or any toyota to my family & friends.
