| 05/15/09 | 0.00 | I don't have any information to provide | 2006 | Susan P. | GREENSBORO NC | 11/08/08 | 3.00 | I have a '06 Camry with 66,200 mi. I have noticed a noise in the steering column. Took it to Rice Toyota in Greensboro, NC for evaluation. They advised that they had received a techical service bulletin for this problem. The steering column needed lubricating. We had purchased an extended warranty on the date of purchase. Found out you have to have a mechanical breakdown before it will cover anything. This was a rip-off. The repair for the steering problem would be $400+. Has anyone else had this problem? | 2006 | Robert A. | BALTIMORE MD | 08/13/08 | 3.00 | dashboard rattles | 2006 | Arthur L. | SALINAS CA | 08/03/08 | 1.00 | 2005-06 50%Toyota Camry 4cylinder models!!!!! Annoying Hydraulic Valve Train Tapping, Knock Ticking noise at 900
RPM or Idle Speed when Hood up all lights Radio AC off. Dealer refuses to
Recall this defective motor due to not enough complaints reported.
Same vehicle seems to produce a Transaxle Thump or Clunking
Noise when backing up in a turn and proceeding forward at 2-5 mile
MPH! Both front door rubber seals seem to shrink after being in the
Hot sun 2-3 months causing air noise. Jamming a dollar bill between
Seal & door or closed door all the way around can define the Air leak area,
By pulling the dollar bill through easily indicates the seal flaw! I am fighting

I suspect low oil pressure or flaw in engine design and Transmission
Internal flawed bearings caused by bad quality metal composition neglect.
These are not acceptable new car noises and surely NOT normal!

| 2006 | R B E. | BOWIE MD | 07/24/08 | 1.00 | I've been experiencing an accerleration / hesitation /sluggishness and de-exceleration problem with my 2006 Camry XLE V6 since I purchased it on Oct. 31, 2005. I've taken it back to the dealer three times now, only to have them put it on a computer, that resets something, and for a few months, I'm AOK, and then the problem returns. I never thought to "google" the issue until yesterday, and voila, I noticed that lots of toyota owners have documented this issue, particularly with the 2007 Camry. I'm now more educated about the problem and intend to move forward with a process to resolve this consumer safety matter. Are there any documented technical service bulletins that address this issue? | 2006 | David O. | SANTA CLARA CA | 04/17/08 | 1.00 | I drove 18300 miles and found out that the right front strut leaked. It then wore out both inner and outer sides of the 2 ftont tires!!! This is frustrating. | 2006 | John J. | SPRINGFIELD VA | 11/18/06 | 5.00 | XLE V6 has not had a single problem in over a year of driving. Great car! | 2006 | Andy G. | CAMP HILL PA | 10/13/06 | 5.00 | A great car - no complaints | 2006 | Barbara M. | BEAVERTON OR | 10/10/06 | 5.00 | BEEN AN EXCELLENT CAR SO FAR! 2 YEARS NOW AND NO PROBLEMS. | 2006 | Barbara S. | TROY MI | 04/03/06 | 3.00 | Slight distortion on bottome portion of passenger's side of front window. Elongated windshield braces create blind spots. Drivers wiper assembly does not clean of of driver's side of window and will allow for snow/ice build up in colder climates. | 2006 | Harry S. | SPRING CITY PA | 03/18/06 | 3.00 | Constant transmission shifting (with 4 cyl) can drive you crazy. I drive in 3 in the city of a 5 speed transmission and 4 on the highway until I get to at least 55. Brakes are dangerous, it runs right up onto the back of waiting cars and you really got to watch this. A sure safety problem.
The defroster needs to be on nearly all the time. Very rough ride. Seat belt chime way too long in time. Good power for a 4. Beautiful interior. Nice paint finish. Have a 99 Camry (6 cyl) that's
a lot better car even at 160,000 miles. Not a single repair! | 2006 | Jordan Z. | PHOENIX AZ | 02/14/06 | 1.00 | electronic defect causes out-of-control acceleration in reverse |
