Since I have my personal mechanic, I took it there and he said the motor is out just over 177miles over the limit. I found that ironic because everysince I've had the car, I take it to get an oil change every three months at Walmart, changed the timing belt and had a tuneup done. If anyone else has had this happen I'd like to hear from them. A friend at work has the same year and model and Toyota paid for hers because hers had less miles when the problem "showed up". No mechanical probs yet.I've purchased 8 toyota's since 1991 including an Avalon- this car's check engine would come on after I checked the air cleaner. other thsn that my only return to dealers was for trae in. So far I've practically purchsed perfect cars of toyota and only complaint is their lack lof loyalty to a repeat customer that a week ago I bought a Ford Fusion Love it and hope I'll get same service I did on 3 Suv's to tow boat not one time did I need to service any of them.
