I am furious, that Toyota is not standing behind their vehicle, and that I spent $22K for a vehicle I thought was going to last me longer than 6 years. I have had to replace tires at least a couple of times a year. The car would drive fine for a couple of weeks then start driving badly again. I have had the tires rotated on a regular basis. The air conditioner started blowing hot air. It seems I have a faulty switch. I took it to the dealership, where the switch was flipped and the air was cold. The next summer, the air conditioner was blowing hot air. This is an ongoing problem. Maybe not all of the 2003 Camrys have continuous problems, but it seems I bought a lemon. The main problem as I see it is the aluminum block with no sleeves. This makes repairing the block VERY difficult and expensive. I am sure Toyota knows about the problem and so far is doing nothing. Brakes are excellent and road noise is held to a minimum. Auto climate control works very well. Plenty of space in the trunk and interior to load whatever I want. The car is fully loaded so amenities abound.
