CA | 10/11/09 | 1.00 | My 2006 Sienna was totaled because the accelerator stuck open, couldn't stop it with the brake no matter how hard I pushed on it, the vehicle just kept going faster and faster, wound up hitting a concrete wall. Complained to Toyota, my insurance co, the police, who wrote a false report about what really happened, etc, everyone I could think of. Nobody did anything about it, now they come out with the floormat recall which describes exactly what happened to me. So why isn't the Sienna on the recall list? Since someone folded my mirrors on two different occasions, first just the right mirror, and it hasn't worked since and now the left side. I have the standard non-runflat Bridgestone Turanza EL42 tires and they need replacement after just 16,500 miles! I even rotated the tires twice. The dealer is refusing to deal with the problem. Toyota seriously has to get their act together regarding the tires they chose for their cars. I guess the class action lawsuit with the run-flats wasn't enough to convince them to stand behind their product. I will not likely buy another Toyota again and I definately will not give Bridgestone/Firestone another penny of my money. | 2006 | LEWIS L. |

Shortcomings are gas mileage (19 MPG) and two major defects.
